Frugal Friday: Leave the elves a doughnut this christmas

With 3 weeks until Christmas, all parents are on the hunt for things to make the day extra special. I saw this on facebook and thought it was so cute and so cheap i had to share it! I must add this is not my creation. I have linked the site at the end of the post.

Elf Doughnuts

Quite simply these are decorated cheerios in a handmade cardstock box! A really simple idea if you are doing elf of a shelf or to leave out for Santa to take back to the North Pole as a reward for his hard workers.

The cheerios are covered in powdered sugar, Cinnamon sugar and melted chocolate and sprinkles.

Its cheap and easy to make. I think my kids would love this idea!

This was found on the facebook page Dolly's Trinkets and Treasures where you can find full instructions and a link to build your own box. There is lots of christmas ideas on this facebook page so worth a look for some cheap handmade bits.

    1. They are so easy to make too. I left the girls with a few and lots of different coloured sugar crystals and other bits and pieces. They were occupied for over an hour :)
