I wanted to do this for a while. I did before when we were super skint but since money has perked up a little, i have been lazy!
We have fortnightly collections for our household waste and recycling. They alternate each week what one is picked up but both bins are usually full to the brim and hubby is nagged into doing a bonfire to burn the recycling to make room for more rubbish. Its ridiculous, we are obviously making too much rubbish and throwing away things we could potentially reuse.
I tend to look at broken furniture as a project, i am good at budgeting my families meals and our household bills so i wanted to take on this challenge.
The idea of No waste November is that i produce no waste, EVERYTHING is recycled in some way. In order to do this properly i will have to store junk in the house which is something i am not prepared to do as i am trying to get into a housework routine. We do not have the luxury of a shed, a garage or cupboards in this house so i decided i will use what i can within reason. I will try really hard at reducing our recycling and household waste down to half of what it currently is. It basically means i should not be nagging the hubby to do any bonfires this month so our waste is halved!
Randomly throughout the month (maybe once a week) i will put up a post with how it is all going and as i will be googling for lots of ideas to make use of the things i would usually throw away, ill share them with you all.
Does anyone have any tips they would like to share? While i am not new to reusing objects which seem like they should be in the bin, id love some ideas :D
